How much did you end up getting those for? I have always liked them but thought they only came in a 7 inch width....

These are 17x9's. Price is about the same everywhere...$360 or so..

First update in a long time. Swapped wheels again. Offset was wrong on the 101's. Much cheaper to replace the wheels than go wider with the suspension.

Yep, I like those wheels better. I'll stick with my Alcoas and 33's for now.

Late to the party as usual. What did you ever do with the front shock's? weren't you looking for springs?
On the rear, I would suggest going to a bleed poppet on the long comp tube. It will really make it ride nice in the chatter. And light springs if you don't all ready have them.

I just ordered new coils through Duer Carolina Coil. Great price....$1350 for 4 custom springs. Increased the rate from 242 to 250 lbs/in, because there was way too much preload on them. 25" long and about 25lbs each! Still 3 weeks out. Yes, .062 hole through the center of the poppet. Leaf springs do not need a lot of low speed damping. The cracking pressure of a 3.0 BP valve is enough to effect the ride. Hence the light springs comment.
All of the larger Kings now come with bleed holes in at last one of the tubes. The 4.0's on the 8 truck have 2 holes in the long tube, 1 in the short tube and 1 in the long rebound tube.

Finally converted to a 1350 shaft after twisting one at the 500 this year. There wasn't a u-bolt yoke available for the Sterling, but I found these awesome caps from Great Lakes Offroad. Had to machine the bore .075 deeper to get the holes to align and take .030 off of the height, but they came out great. Should last forever.

Who else is getting too old to lift 125lbs of tire and wheel on to a hub that won't hold it's position? I mean come on! My back can't take this anymore, so I started whittling out some hub-centric spacers for the front end to make it quicker and easier....just like race car parts. Still haven't had time to finish them up. Unfortunately I don't have a mill, so patience is part of the game. Should look something like the model when finished.

A lot of the time finding tube that is the right ID/OD for a project can be a pain. Or finding some place that will sell you 1'. I wish the Cone ones were longer.
