Sorry that is a bit confusing. There is a pair of wires coming from each abs sensor that are twisted together (3 pairs). I was just pointing out that it's easy to find the pair for the rear sensor. I'll just stay out of it lol.

This project is extremely overwhelming to start. I made the smooth move of starting it randomly one night and was up till 2ish in the morning finishing it up. It was on jack stands and was over a year till I was able to drive it and confirm I did it right. Haha
All that being said, I made copies of all the pics on the thread, and has the thread up on my phone. It's a little confusing when you start but really you are just following wires and removing them.

Regarding the ABS delete; why not just install a cut-off switch for when off road? There's a thread on FSB that explains how to do it. This is what I plan on doing on my bronco since it's also a tow vehicle.

Because with Giant wilwood calipers and rotors, I will not be needing ABS.dtbback wrote:Regarding the ABS delete; why not just install a cut-off switch for when off road? There's a thread on FSB that explains how to do it. This is what I plan on doing on my bronco since it's also a tow vehicle.

Right on dude! Wiring is a love hate relationship for me. I hate doing it but I love knowing it's done.

I think everyone hates wiring. Reminds me of splicing the ranger wiring harness & the T-bird supercoupe harness together when I put the motor in the ranger. chiltons & haynes wiring diagram for each motor as they were each different & some right/some wrong, & then a lot of floorspace. Was SO glad when it was done. It was worth it though - just like this will be.

That is one of my future duties on my Bronco. I am pulling the whole 1986 wiring and I have a 1990 wire harness along with the computer and 351w/408 swap. I plan to simplify the harness to the basic engine wiring. I plan to change the location and the engine bay connector to a waterproof military spec connection.

Summit sells a stand alone harness for 5.0/5.8 for 7-800 that may be an easier route

Actually looks like I may have misread. 7-800 for the harness and no computer though I'm guessing. I was thinking for some reason it was both. Sorry about that.

$500 for the harness. I think I got the 7-800 number in my head from figuring computer cost.
