I've got a set of pivot boxes for sale fairly cheap. Quality is not bad at all.

Re: Ryan's '96
All Autofab, the current mounts are bushings. Ive got a little tire to the rear of the front fenders action at full bump and im debating on weather to heim them and push the beam forward ( which in turn means i have to cut the stock bumper or do a tube bumper) ORRRRR sell my 9"wide APP's and go to a 7" Method. Dont tell anybody about me contemplating selling the APP's though, could start a fight!VintageIronFab wrote:Ryan,

Re: Ryan's '96
In my quest to find my weird idle issue i went a little overboard...
Turns out i had a few issues that could have contributed to it.
1. Replaced the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets
2. found i was missing a bolt on the collector at the y pipe outlet pulling in outside air being fed to the O2's
3. the last O2 sensor plug harness and been resting on top of the cat and had successfully melted damn near all the way through the harness.
Found 1 motor mount completely broken and the the other pretty beat and bolts loose so those got replaced also.
Fixed the rear locker leak
new spark plugs, cap and rotor.
new steering gear box and 4" drop pitman arm
new alternator, idler pulled and 1 other pulley that was shot
water pump gasket
Ordered some coil spring retainers from Ballistic Fab so i can put my Deaver coils back on.
New front brake lines from Crown
fuel filer
oil change
Should be good for another few years haha. i planned on a few suspension upgrades but those will have to wait.
She might be ready for KOH 2014....
I hoped to get more done but a job change put some of the cool stuff i had in mind on the back burner.... such is life right?!

Deavers going back on. Used Balistic fab spring plates to lower ride height.

Re: Ryan's '96
With the new spring plates and deavers ride height only went up a half inch. I still have a slight rake, 3/4" higher in back. Rides sooooo nice.

Re: Ryan's '96
The way I did mine was leave one side bolted up to hold the axels orientation, remove the factory leaf perch. Weld on a replacement at the correct angle. This allows you to shitcan the wedge block and will lower the rear almost an inch. Then repeat on the other side. If you've already done this sorry, I'm at work and don't have time to look through the preceding in the thread. Also you can go +.75-1" easy with the shackle further lowering the rear.
