That's cool man. I don't really know him other than watching him come up over the years on DR and such but I have seen his housings up close and personal and been way impressed with all his advancements. Goodbuy brotha

GMR housing fell through. Nothing bad to say about there customer service just an issue with material availability. I'm getting a Dirt Tech rear end now. Looks really nice and they are local so it will make everything easier. Steering is all mocked up with seamed tubing. Just got the 4130 yesterday and I am taking my knuckles to a buddies shop to drill out the taper and sleeve it so Ill have pics up soon on the final assembly.

Can't go wrong with Dirt Tech. Their stuff is quality too. Looking forward to progress

I was really impressed with what Dirt Tech build for the money. My thoughts were, If i go big on th ehousing now all i have to do is get hubs later and thats alot less than swapping in a whole new rear.

I will be having to get creative trying to stuff the 72 wms-wms rearend in 3" bedsides. My buddy Jeff and I are pushing to get it driving by the end of November, Dialed in December and hopefully up to Pismo in January to meet all you guys.

Some progress:
Image Steering mocked up with seamed tubing. Building knuckles then final build and assembly

Image Rear harness tube, the "A" tubes locate the spare aswell

Image Final fitting, wiring and plumbing vents.

knuckles are torn down for double shear and backing plate welding.

Update-
Set up the BBQ to weld up the backing plates and double sheer. I wish I had the money for willwods so i could have done caliper brackets all in one shot but thats for the future.

I also got the rear all prepped for the new rearend to go in. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow!! I am excited. I cant decide what to do for the rear glass.
Sell it and wait for the wider ones to come out, run it on the street and take it off to go off road or just hack it till the tires clear. Whats the consensus?

I used Currie 2" johnny joint bushing replacements. They are almost perfect, 1/8" gap between bushing and mount surface. I may make delrin spacers. I am looking into producing a specific anti-wobble bushing in the future I will let you all know when I have them available.

Im glad I went with the 1/8" plate afterall. I had clearance issue because of the billet lower ball joint beams. Not bad just a little finness with the flapper disc. Fitt ment was good. I stiched them in just cause how tight it gets around the bolts. I used grade 8 bolts and did a small tac to keep them from spinning. Thanks again!!

Update-
VSS relocated. A buddy had a kit for me so I saved some time and money figuring that one out. Im happy with the install, not so happy with the 2 lbs of dirt that came out of the split loom durring rewiring, haha!

Double sheer is for strength. I also did the backing plates. I really am trying to make it as strong and reliable as possible(dare I say over built)

On a side note you get the award for best icons!

Update- So I re hung my shackle hanger farther back on the frame. After looking at a few other 64 set ups I wasnt happy with how mine was. I have less shackle swing and am goin into negative arch less so it was worth the redo. I am almost done with the 3rd rear end install....thrid time is a charm i hope. stapped at 21" 50/50 bump:droop. Here is a few teaser pics till it finished
