Yup. For weeks after I had them I'd have to take out a tape measure to verify if I was looking at 2.0's, 2.5's or 3.0's. Those things were so big they threw off my eyeball!!!! :D

I saw this thread and thought "Wow, Steve has 2 pages worth of new updates"....turns out it's just two pages worth of questionable puns. I thought for sure it would at least be new one-piece TT style glass.

We can do OG style louvers on every body panel. I have 3", 4", 5", and 6" dies. None of that fiberglass junk...

The birthday bash is just around the corner... time to get back to work.

The coil buckets I picked up are just flat on the inside with nothing to keep the coil centered. Rather than make retainers from scratch I cut the tops out of stock coil-buckets and will weld them to coil-bucket. I have a couple sets of Autofab retainer washers (for a Ranger) left over from previous projects and will use those to keep the coil from popping out.

I wondered how people were approaching this issue. I figured you might add a nut/bolt style height adjuster like autofab has, but this way looks good.

A lot of the fabricated coil-buckets don't use anything. The coil just sits in there (and moves around). I know the Camburg Ranger buckets don't have anything and just use a simple J-hook to keep the coil from coming out. I'm pretty sure the full size buckets are the same. The problem with that is that it only attaches on one end unlike the stock retainer which hooks onto the coil-bucket on one end and uses a bolt on the other.

I don't know about perfect but I'm pretty happy with it. It ended up being a lot easier and faster than I expected. I like how nicely the coils sits in there. Originally I was only planning on using the center domed part of the stock bucket but I like it this way more.

Thanks for the props! These buckets and shock mounts are all about quick and dirty. I'm trying to build them with only materials I already have on hand and as fast as possible as time is at a premium right now and I still need to get the Falcon road trip worthy.
