I made my own intake, and finally finished up the mount for it last night. These are all off the shelf parts at our shop (SDHQ) for the intake, and the only thing custom is my mount to the Solo Coil cage.

For the MAF sensor, I just cut the square airbox adapter off and it turns out to be a 3.25 OD for a silicone coupler. I went 3.25 to 4" to run a nice big off the shelf air cleaner (we carry AFE here, and it is a ProGuard 7 which is oiled - 72-40035)

If you would like a complete list of parts, just let me know.

I've been keeping an eye on the heat in the bay already as I was worried about it. As of right now, my direct drive fan is moving a bunch of air at all times which is helping with engine bay heat. For now, I really don't have a bunch of mounting options and I'm not planning on charging too hard in the dirt at the 1000. I may look at mounting them on the coil cage down tubes?? Is that something someone had/ has done?

Pulled a kid out of the sand. 4wd and 4.88's are the business. 70-75 on the hwy is about 25-2600 rpm with 35's. Right where my 302 needs to be to maintain that speed. It can go 200-300 miles with no issues foreseen.

Went out to test a RZR today and make some shock changes for him. Made a quick and dirty vice mount off the back and got it done. Phone died just as I was getting setup so no pictures unfortunately while tuning.

Looking good! My resi's are mounted to the back side of the coil towers. We need to get the AZ group together now that the weather is nicer!

Well, Baja story time.

We left Friday the 7th and pulled into Ensenada around 11pm? 11:30? Whatever it was, was a long drive from Phoenix at about 4pm. Philo graciously let me borrow his flatbed trailer to throw the Bronco on, and my Dodge 2500 towed it like a champ for 2,500 miles. Saturday morning we got rolling early and would end up in Loreto at about 10:30pm after 700 miles in the saddle or so.

Sunday we would wake up late and relax for most of the day, taking just a quick trip up the hill to the San Javier Mission from Loreto

Monday was a big day, trekking from mile 965 (Loreto dump) to 1275 (La Paz finish). While we were stopped a little short due to some issues, none of which were detrimental. We would pull off around MM1205 and call it a night around 7pm or so after my front bumper decided it didn't want to be attached any more and we lost lights. Not a real good reason to continue to prerun at night with stock head lights.

Gremlins that I need to address include a starting / ignition short that is popping the fuse every time the key tries to start the truck. Jump the solenoid and no issues. Leaf spring pinched the fuel filler a little, and the rear is a little soft. Also, the drivers side window regulator is acting up.

Overall, I couldn't be more happy with the products from SOLO, and the whole Bronco in general. Gearing worked PERFECT, and the A/C blew cold. We dicked around with the fuse thing for a while, losing daylight, and had 45 miles of whoops to contend with earlier in the day but we still could have finished our 300 miles before 9pm had we chose to press on.

Awesome rig, great times and did exactly what I needed it to 8-)

Just gotta figure out a wiring issue that is popping the ignition fuse when you try to start with the key.
The maxi fuse that is blowing is #10 which feeds #15, #18, and the starter solenoid.

I pulled #15 and #18 was not used so nothing was there. This leaves the starter relay wire being shorted from the ignition switch to the relay somewhere or possible that not having the cruise control recall is at fault. I didn't unhook the pressure switch on the end of the MC to see if it fixes it. I can't remember where the cruise pulled power from before the recall is installed.

There is also a small chance your ignition switch itself is bad. I'd unhook the start wire from the solenoid and unplug the ignition switch then check for ground on that circuit to help narrow down the issue.
