Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
Lots of brake Drag....
The Brake pad was completely gone.. I should have noticed something was up when my "Brake Light" indicator was on
1.I purchased new Rotors and pads..
2. Went to install them and i cannot get the hub off without a special tool
3. Purchase the tool....
4. Wrong tool
5.Remove Hubs
6. Brake caliper is completely extended and will not compress
7. Purchase New Caliper"VatoZone" $40
8. passenger Side Inner nut will not come off at all... It seems Cross threaded
9. Start on driver side.... 1hr later Finish driver side
Punched out old studs.. I have no idea how anyone used the old ones (10) $20
Oct 6
Cut off Old Rotor with a Grinder. $10
Old hub Still will not come off
Picked up spindles from BajaBroncos13"thanks"
Used a ton of Profanity F&*(*) etc...
Bronco is still down..
Anyone want to try getting this thing out.. be my guest
Pre Conclusion... Next time I'll pay someone to do this shit.. I've wasted 2 days of my time, energy, training, and sanity
Im ready to drop the CROC and go

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
Been in the same position, when a customer Bronco had the hub nuts WELDED to the spindle.
Apparently, they kept coming loose, because they left off the washer between the nuts. I smashed off what
was left of the rotor and the rotor bell, ground down a couple of wrenches and with careful use of the grinder, managed to undo the spindle bolts and
the spindle finally came off after 4 hours of swearing and sweating in 100F heat. A good used hub & brgs, spindle, a new rotor and pads later, it was going again.

Just trying to help but a little confused where you're stuck in the process.
Stuck separating rotor/hub or still trying to remove hub assembly from spindle? It's 0500

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
You need to press the studs off with a press then press the studs back on with a press. The hub must be removed to do this.

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
You can pound the studs off with a hammer... you don't even need that much striking force.. they'll pop right out.

Re: D1cker1 93 Build "The Croc"
Use an old lug nut threaded with some of the nut over the stud and smack the nut so the stud doesn't mushroom.
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.
