Dam !! 222k is some “hard” serious miles. My new to me motor was originally Brandon’s, then in Johns blue stretched Bronco. It’s got some upgrades, forget all of them but I’m excited for some more power and reliability. Hopefully this edelbrock intake will fit under my drop hood. I’ll know more tonight. I’m dropping my transmissions off with Jaun today, he’s actually the one who built the computer for this motor. Hopefully he will answer any question I have.

Motor is in and the list is getting shorter. 1.
Had to do some mods to intake to convert to MAF. 2.
Power steering pump installed just need to cut my hoses to length and install. 3
Reconnect brake lines at crossmember and bleed.
Take to Juanco for computer install and E4od connections. Image

AC delete kit lol. Going vintage air next summer.

So its sunday morning and im down to the dirty work, electrical. Since I have jumped in a 96 system into my OBD1 I have to locate my gauge cluster wires for RPM, oil pressure, water temp and so on. She is running currently and im able to pull RPM off of coil, that one was easy. Again since im now OBD11 I can pull codes and this is what I have currently p1507 idle air control underspeed sensor, p0118 engine coolant temp, p0443 purge control valve, p0385 crankshaft position sensor B. Today is an important day to make the bronco trip next weekend to Barstow, wish me luck.

Actually HOA yes !! I received a notice on Monday in regards to a non-operable vehicle in my driveway. I honestly don’t give a shit, I’m a homeowner and I own fords which need maintenance often. That’s awesome that your odometer matches your motor, I couldn’t tell you how many miles my Bronco actually has. But this engine does it have many lol.

Man I don't know how people deal with HOAs! When we bought that was my major veto factor that I could use to cancel any property if my wife really liked it. F&%@ HOA's! As car guys they are the devil incarnate. So yeah, more power to you for working through with that nonsense going on - haha

So we are back up and running as an OBD1 bronco again. Probably should of done this from the beginning, it’s more work than I thought to go OBD2. Huge shout out to Bronco Guru Steve, he gave me good info and I will use his knowledge when I decide to use this engine to it’s full potential. Thank you Sir !!

So now my only real concern is running these 26lb injectors instead of my 19lb. Curious with these GT heads if 19 will be to lean ? I’m open to advice.

Also the location of my O2 sensor isn’t optimal going back to my old set up. I had them both installed in the Y pipes and now only need one. I’m not sure if that’s a big deal. But tomorrow is a new day and I should be driving around. Countdown to Barstow lol.
