It's not close to the tank. When I switched to the dirt tech with a bigger filler it self clearances the crossmember. But overall you can go back a couple inches with no worries

Dailed in the smog stuff. New vac lines where needed. All the wiring buttoned up. Almost ready to hit the road again. Progress is slow but hoping to have it ready for October.

So I built the bench mount to locate the spare 35 and have as much leg room as possible. But the I went to 37s.....
So now a little work to modify the access panel.

So it has been a while since any real updates.
I was supposed to meet up with a bunch of the members here out at Plaster City back in January of 2013. Unfortunately my bronco and I didn't make it to the gathering.
About 30 seconds after getting off the I-8 at Plaster city I jumped of the pavement onto what I thought was a very mild woop section. It was mild indeed, until a sudden g-out where the water passes under the paved road. After almost going ass over end the truck came down heavy on the passenger side I rolled a bead, the wheel bit and over we went about two and a half times.
Cage did its job 100% not a bend, wrinkled, crack etc. Over all the truck took it as well as I could have asked.
Ill post some pics of the rebuild to follow but a few lessons learned I hope y'all can learn the easier way.
1. Always ensure everyone is buckled, even if you are just putzing around. Lap belts don't count. You don't get to pick when shit hits the fan. I was going half the speed I normally do.
2. Cage it. Cage it. Cage it.
3. If you don't have a x-member between your radius arms your asking for more work down the road.
4. Gated shifters are awesome and if you have them and are used to using them do so. The lag time for a down shift when in auto can bite you in the ass.
I'm sure I could think of more as it been a year and a half to get it to where it is today.

Re-skinning the cab
Re: 94 Raptor killer
Alright, Pro tip here. Cages are for looks, they are not to be used..ever. Glad yours worked and kept you safe. So after using your cage what would you do different? Were you happy with the placement of bars? Would you move anything?

Fortunately I have a awesome fab mentor that was mentored by some of the best in the business. It worked flawlessly and wouldn't change a thing.

Fixing the frame and rad arm mounts. I had plans for a crossmember but didn't complete it in time Frame rolled in pretty bad I was able to get it straightened out with a porta power and a huge adjustable wrench I have. I made some over lays for that section of the frame too.

It's all buttoned up now. All said and done I'm really happy at how it turned out and it's a better truck than befit the roll. I scored a Paxton supercharger that will be going on it soon hopefully. Unfortunately I will be moving out of state soon. Bronco will stay here for the hopefully yearly visits home.

Awesome to see you get it back together Brian. Looks great! That must have been sooooo discouraging to put all that work in and wad it up. You must have put more hours in repairs than you did in the original build. Good work man!
