Dezertrage Bronco
So this is going to be more pictures than a build thread because ive been lagging on posting this. But here we go.
I got this thing about two years ago to do a slow build. Well two days after i got it the trans took a crap so I had to rebuild it. Then half of my electrical system fried for some reason. So I decided to tear the whol thing down and start from scratch.
First some suspension. Made so cut and turned beams and radius arms.
Napa ball joints and some fresh rotors.
Modified the stock buckets to gain clearance for longer shocks.
Running deaver coils and bilstein shocks.
Painted the cage before I put it in.
The engine is stock internals with edelbrock intake mani, bbk shorty headers off a 5.0, mallory dist, msd offroad coil, taylor wires and holly 650 4 barrel.

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
Thanks all. And yes it is an audi steering wheel. It is from my old s4. I sold it a while back and wanted to keep a piece of it. Plus its a comfortable wheel.

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
Ive been wanting to start some extended beams for a while now. Finally decided to pull the trigger the other day. Had my stock beams laying around so i cleaned em up and started cutting.
Integrated the cut and turn into the extension.
And the mock up
Still have to reinforce them and eventually get some coilovers and fenders. But its a start.

Thats how I've thought extended beams should be done!

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
I think with that way of cut and turn you now will have to clock the diff housing. At least that is what I have seen others have to do, where you don't have to on a lower balljoint cut and turn.

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
I was told that extended beams don't need clocking no matter the way they were done. At least that's what I think Kiefer told me...

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
Wouldn't he gain more travel with clocking even though he's extended?

Re: Dezertrage Bronco
I am not sure on all the particulars with this type of cut and turn. The couple I have done have been done by cutting the lower balljoint.

They look really awesome! I like the holes on the plating! Are you going to port the passenger side window?
