Re: Tina Turner
No problem. I look forward to seeing what this truck turns into.
Now we just need to get Team Otter back into an Explorer... 4wd this time.

Ha! I'm a firm believer that every ride should have a female name. I'm a working musician and my money from gigging helps to fund the off-road hobby/obsession. Tina Turner was hot as hell in '89 and she was tough as nails. Figured it was appropriate. I'm flattered by the official name change and can't wait to pick her up. I've already spent countless hours and a bunch of money plotting out the rest of the build. Gonna be fun.
On a side note I got a tune up and fixed the exhaust manifold on Xena Warrior Princess today (aka the Bajamobile). The driver's side was literally cracked in half. Made a huge difference. She's getting all prettied up and ready to sell. I've had a few bites, but nothing serious yet. It will be very very hard to let her go, but hopefully she goes to the right home. I'm most likely gonna throw some SE VENDE signs on her and head down for NORRA tech and the start this weekend. If ya see us, please say hello.

oh, and cs_drums, here's the fuel cell I was referring to:
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/i-302 ... -tank.html
I'm fairly certain it's the same company made the one that's on my truck now. The one I've got has been awesome. I'm gonna have to look into it a lot more and make sure it won't get in the way of anything. Fuel capacity doesn't seem to be a big issue with the 33 gallon tank, but I've never been bummed out on having the extra range. Always a nice piece of mind.

Yeah I've seen that one. I forgot the 89 was the cut off. Won't work on my 94.

33 goes quicker than I'd like. I wish they made is for the newer sender size

Around the 5:30 mark is where I was moving pretty good. Up until that point I was just cruising out of the area we where in.

Re: Tina Turner
Suspension appears to be working really well there. It's pretty cool to see the motion ratio. Makes me want to do a similar set up some day.

Re: Tina Turner
The progressiveness of this setup is awesome. It works really well. Was a little tricky getting it tuned, but I am sure an experienced shock guy could make it even more amazing.

Whaaaa????!!!! That's insensitive!!!!Rmc wrote:I figured you named her Tina turner cause you planned on beating her like Ike. ( man that sounds wrong sry otter)
Slightly related, I sat next to Ike on a flight once. He had a Vegas Tina look-alike with him. He was f#%^*ng terrifying. After his third cocktail I thought i might end up with a black eye.
Long story shirt, Tina is tough. Ike's a dick.
Ok. Gonna watch the gopro footage now...

Re: Tina Turner
That's one thing I'd never wish for in all my life.... To sit next to Ike turner for any reason. Tina is a bad ass, I give her all well deserved respect. Ike on the other hand is a pile of dog shit. I can say one thing.... At least you didn't name you bronco Ike.
