I would imagine the iPad would work with the gopro app as well.

When I'm offroading I use the suction cup mount inside the windshield pointing out or on the side rear glass on the outside pointing forward. I try to get it as far out as I can on the side and get the truck about 1/3 in the shot. I think I want to get it further out with an extension though to get more of the front wheel moving around. The suction cup mount is really stable and strong so far.

I want to get a Go Pro one of these days. I like the new wifi remote. I was also checking out the quad blade drones that carry the Go pro. It would be fun to take to the races.

With a 2 or 3 expect half the advertised battery life. The 3 is a POS. Avoid at all costs. Frequently locks ups, needs reboot etc.

Get the app for changing settings and such, makes life 100x easier.

I have the 3 and it's not so bad. The software update helped with the freeze ups. The battery life does kind of suck on the highest settings. 1080@60fps you will get maybe 30 min per battery. The wifi helps so much with the settings but kills the battery faster.
