Notice a couple of value units. Look at the HDS 5 or 7 Gen 2 ones at $650 & $900 list. Now you can find them $50 off using mail order.
Compare with my vintage 7200c whch I paid $665 7/2007.
The Gen 2 units have a lot more capability, however its all wasted for what I do as the 7200 specs are good enough. I think they are trying to out spec the latest Garmin marine units. Such it is.
Back to buttons instead of touch screen which apparently lowers the price.

I read recently the stand alone GPS companies sales are less than desired. Reason is all the cell phones and tablets all contain competing GPS features.
