Hello Go Fast Bronco Team!! I’m a 39 year old husband and a dad of 2 kids. I served our country for 10 years as an electronics tech in the US Coast Guard.
In November 2018, for a whopping $1000, I purchased a poorly running 1994 XLT in pretty neglected shape. Originally was a 5.0 mass air motor that was updated to a 5.8. I’ve spent the last 5 months updating and repairing the mechanical issues. I rebuilt the 351 due to bad cam lobes. I replaced all the sensors, upgraded compression to 10:1, Ford Racing aluminum x-303 heads, mild computer friendly cam, 24 lbs injectors, full Bassani exhaust headers to tip, flexlite dual electric fans , and all new sensors on the engine. BBK 56mm throttle body. Predator valve body. 6 inch JBG extended radius arm super flex lift kit with Deaver coils and leafs. Craigslist deal on some spankin new Goodyear Wrangler MTR 35 inch tires and new el cheapo rims. The body is in decent shape with Zero rust. Has some dents and dings as expected and a crappy second paint job. Interior Is decent with only the drivers seat and the passenger side dash cushion needing any real love. All of this work has been completed by me in my driveway ( to the extreme dismay of the HOA and I’m sure my neighbors ). I’ve built several vehicles over the years including a 1956 F100, a 1979 Ford F-150 on 40 inch swappers, a 1955 Ford Customline, a couple of Fox body mustangs, and several Harley’s. I’m not new to cars but for some reason this bronco has me more excited to get in the road than any other vehicle I’ve owned. Looking forward to contributing to this forum and helping others with their passion for Broncos and other vehicles. Thanks for letting me ramble.
Johnnie

I’ll have to look around for photos of my 79. I sold it a decade ago.
