FNG from Southern Oregon.

Post by Boots & Slicks 14 »

Lurked for a bit, finally got around to joining.I spent months searching for a Bronco and finally found what I was looking for last November, a '95 5.8 with a MAF (In other words a Cali edition). I'm hoping I could learn a few things here and meet like minded people in the area (I know that's a bit of a stretch considering where I live). I spent most my life in the So. Cal area so desert type Broncos weren't that uncommon, up here though, that's a different story, lots of straight axled "muhdders" or "trail rigs" but no go fast stuff..

Plans for the Bronco are mild suspension upgrades, cage, and some go fast goodies for the Windsor..

I'm pretty new to Broncos and off-roading in general, but not to things with wheels. Besides the Bronc, I own a '95 S10(for sale), '95 Impala SS, '62 Mercury Comet and last but not least, a '50 Ford Coupe..

Here are some before and after pics of the Bronc (still a long ways from done) and my other rides.

Thanks for the replies!

Judging by your avatar ChaseTruck, you seem to prefer the older stuff as well.

I'm in Grants Pass, miss HB at times..

yup. older seems to be better when it comes to cars/trucks.

I'm in HB & miss Grant's Pass at times...!
My family history and the old homestead is in Grant's Pass. Grandma's side of the family were "the" Grant's and great grandpa on the other side had a very nice cherry orchard/farm in Grant's. Need to get back up there at some point, but in the mean while I spend a bit of time in Bend each year at the in-laws place.

Ha! What are the chances? Small world huh?

Just wish we had some of the desert areas out here like in So. Cal where you could really open it up, but, you can't have it all..

It's a give & take for sure. You have sand now super far away. Not the same as desert, but you can open the trucks up on it!

Also there are a couple guys on here from up your way & there was a small starting of a desert race series up there. Paisley I think is where they were running the stuff.
