The 44 TTB cost seems moot, guys rip them out all the time to do a SAS. I sold mine for $300 with all the Rancho lift parts. If you look around I'd be willing to bet you'd find someone giving away a stock 44 TTB set up.

There's a large populace of desert racers in the Ventura area, hence the 44 is very sought after. I'm going to have to look outside my area to find anything like that for free if I decide to go that route.
