or a zf5 or 6.

But still, not worth dealing with CA Bar referee again for a swap.

My thought was more too bad it's not a 250 & on beams. Still a rad truck & slightly tempting...

Question.... Is it registered as a 1 ton? And I'm assuming 8 lug?

Since it is a Bronco back half, it should be registered as an SUV, which in CA is much cheaper than a Crew Cab truck of the same year that is required to pay a weight fee and have a commercial license plate.

Yeah but it's all going to depend on the vin #. And with how crooked this state is, they prob would find some way to get ya for additional taxes and fees. It's bad enough that they tax you up to an additional 30% of the purchase price to register an out of state vehicle in this state. But if it IS registered as an f350, you will have less strict smog requirements

They repealed that out of state charge and refunded it to some people. I got my 1999 F350 in 2002 from Arizona and got a refund for the extra charges. You are right, they will try to screw you. As for smog, no break on smog requirements just for being a F350. VIN does not matter either, it all comes down to its classification. A Bronco body is classified as a camper (Permanently -attached meets the definition of a
housecar (CVC ยง362) and may be registered as a
passenger vehicle.) Since it is not a commercial registration there is no weight charge for vehicles over 5,500lbs
( I think that is the weight cut off). So if it is classified as a truck right now, it can be reclassified as a passenger car. I had a friend do a reclassification of his F350 to an RV when he took off the bed, added a camper with a pass through to the cab.

So what's the deal with this beast? Did it sell? Is there a trade option? Are kidneys accepted as payments?
