92-96 Bronco and F-Series Dash Brace Bracket!

Post by DesolateMotorsports »

If you have an older body style Ford truck, we can almost guarantee that your dash is broken and bouncing around. This issue can be annoying both on and off-road and can be a headache to fix until now. We devised this simple, hand-crafted bracket that bolts into the original hole behind the kick panel and cradles the dash to secure it. Three holes must be drilled into the dash and the three included 1/4″ button head screws attach the bracket to the dash.

Note: Three holes must be drilled into dash and may require minor grinding of plastic depending on where the plastic tab broke.

They have been flying off the shelf so we figured we would spread the word on here. :) Also, the hardware that comes with it is now black. (not like the photo)

Does this offer more support over the TSB from ford? Did that already just inquiring if this is worth adding to.

Unfortunately, we dont have any experience with that bracket or where it mounts. So we cant really give you a solid answer. Ours mounts behind the kick panel on the passenger side and cradles the dash from that lower right hand corner. I would imagine that if your bracket mounts in another place, then it would only brace the dash better having more anchor points. But like I said, I cant give you a definitive answer. Sorry.

Looks stout! The only issue I see is if someone were to put a cage in the A pillar tube runs right through there.

No, uses the original dash tab as long as they aren't broken. For the dash in my bronco I just picked up one of these oem repair brackets.

I'm not even sure if that would work though honestly with the a pillar tube. Not as cool as Desolate' either. Desolate makes some cool parts.

The stock dash needs to mount to the cage. This bracket desolate makes is great for the guys running no cage and sick of the rattling dash. Speaking of which I need to order one for my diesel.

It will work if cage is tucked tight as well.

In the past before we made this bracket, we have made custom tabs directly off the cage for the dash in caged broncos. These brackets are intended for those who have a rattling dash and arent caged like hollandermotorsports mentioned. Having said that, its not impossible for it to work on a caged bronco like hollandermotorsports showed in the last picture.
