Cast-iron transmission tailshaft housing E4OD/4R100

Post by David Kennedy »

This is a heavy-duty Ford tailshaft housing/ transfer case adapter for Ford's E4OD and 4R100 four-speed automatic transmissions. When Ford was developing the E4OD/4R100 for use in the 1999-and-newer Super Duty, one area that it substantially upgraded was the transmission-to-transfer case mount. If you look at the piece in our Broncos and F-150s, you'll see it's made from cast aluminum. The Ford Super Dutys got this cast-iron unit. This is a great upgrade for anyone that's planning to pull their transmission or transfer case. This adapter comes with a speed sensor (unused in our application) and most of the bolts needed to install it.

Located in Redondo Beach, CA

Price: $75

I'll ship it to you if you pay for the ride.

I have one of these on my crew cab.

I believe the transmission mount is offset towards the left side so you will have to drill new holes.

Any more 8 for on this? What kind of pick up and wiring would you need to transfer the speed sensor to the adapter?

Is there already a reluctor on the bronco shaft? Or do you need the Super Duty shaft as well?

On my truck I had to use the Superduty output shaft.
