2010 SF250

Post by PaulW »

2010SF 250 Race is 3/13. Prerun starts 2/27. Marking starts 2/24
Course is still in work.
Some highlights:

2 new tracks east of Morelia road northbound & southbound. New entrance to Huatamote, Track repair in Huatamote in work. Chanate is good to go. Morelia is all screwed up at the narrows. No resolution on that. Input to SCORE as of tonight. Expect them to leave it as is. Mostly new track west of the highway. Because of heavy flooding the traditional route is messed up. Prerunning is required. My line is fast and can be used. Maybe SCORE will use it. To soon to tell.
New track near the mountains to get to the finish. Start &Finish at the arches as always. Nothing else was ever considered.
Both new roads were made by direction of the Mexicali Mayor using SF resources. Ejido and all sub sets are apparently happy. First hand observation.
No resolution for the Matomi N exit so it will not be used and the trtack will be the highway then Old P all the way to Huatomote entrance.
In case you wonder? the order of washes from the south is Canella, Matomi, Azufre, Huatamote, Chanate, Amarillas, then tbd.

The race:
Arches, dump road with jump and grandstands, power line. 3 poles wash, Lugna Diablo (not on the graded road), Morelia Jct. New road south to the windmill, traditional track to Matomi then to the highway, then Old P to Hauatomote entrance (not the traditional entrance). Then up Huatamote and right turn to the new northbound road (at the start of the fence), then into and down Chanate to the finish at the arches. About a hundred feet of two way traffic at the finish.
Last effort in the field is to identify new & old access points and BFG pit possibilities. And try another drive up Huatamote.
Its been a bunch of work
Paul
2/10 update: Lots of snow on Diablo this AM. I guess we are in for more wash destruction???
