They were in a sportsman buggy, I only saw them come around once. I was busy making room for more beer so I couldn't get a picture.

Congrats on winning Dave.

I quit drinking about 4 hours before I was driving around. We ran out of beer at about noon.

Dave,
what exactly is the class 18? It looks like a class 1 to me. (But I am not buggy specialist.....)

18 is sportsman. It's open to almost anything. We won it last year in a modified Jeep speed.

That car is an older class 1, it was competitive in 2004 and could be again with some upgrades. All the new class 1's have way more power, shock and brakes than this car.

We entered the race in Sportsman as a tune up; for ourselves in the car and our crew. Our last race was the 2007 Baja 500 and we were all a little rusty.

Everything went great and we gained some confidence. We may race the buggy a couple more times before the Bronco debut so that when that happens we will be going full speed.
