Funnel and Rocky bottom both just have Rainbow. I've always been told there are Brown's, but have never caught one. I caught the biggest average ever this year. Usually get 8-12" out of both lakes, but we hit 12-16" monsters all day long this time. Was awesome!!

That is so awesome... that looks like just a specacular trip! Beautiful setting, great fishing, looks like a great bunch of guys! I assume you consumed mucho Rainbow along with some nice cold cerveza to wash it down... I hope you filled the Yeti with some Rainbow to take home as you depleated the Pacificos!

Depending on the group, it's about 6hrs from driveway to camp. Would love to take a GFB group sometime.

Heck yeah! Best way to get there. There's a nice area to park at the base of the mountain.

We BBQ'd a dozen or so and I brought enough home for a good feast tonight. Believe me when I say there was lot's of cervesa consumed. These guys are the reason Budweiser and Coors are in business. Haha! Great group though. They loved to hit the trails. A few of them couldn't handle the great outdoors and left early to find showers and temperature controlled environments. It's bow season right now, which I completely forgot about, so we tried to avoid the hunting camps. I'm sure we pissed off a few. Funny thing was the deer were walking through our camp, but some of the hunters said they couldn't find any. Comedy.

Took a ride with Gary Gough in the green UTV. He's an animal in that thing. He owns C&G race engines and built it with a turbo. It's got 120hp and really hauls the mail. Apparently he's scary fast at Glamis in his sand car. I believe it! I was pushing the Bronco really hard and he was always in my dust. Couldn't shake him.

Haha, great thread title! That's my backyard outside Bishop on the way to Mammoth. Looks like a good time was had! Got home from VtoR early and wanted to come up and find you guys, but between recuperating and honeydoes, it wasn't in the cards.
Love to host a run up here and there are other roads just as spectacular to hit as well. Fall colors are coming up, or next summer, let me know?

Yes a good ride on bikes. You used to be able to take some single track out and catch a steep decent into Big Pine from up there that was lots of fun. Not sure if you could climb it with camp gear on your bike though from that side.
Thanks Yikes for a trip back home with the pics!
