Tom, on race day I was either at RM320 or in the race car, depending on when you were looking for me! Like I said, if I would have remembered what you look like without your truck I would have bought a couple beers!

Tony, I passed you guys prerunning the first 45 on contingency day. You guys were parked down in a wash and we came by in the class 10 cars. (The green crock car and the orange class 10)

That ranger was on it's side when we found it prerunning. We asked if he needed the strap but said he was fine and had help on the way. The bottom of the thing is pretty nice.

Thats super cool, I remember you guys coming by!

Man what an awesome race weekend it was. I had a total blast in Mexico with the team. Not only did Don and Ken spank the other two class 3's but they managed to beat all the class 5's and 5-1600. All but one class 6, all the class 7's, all 7-sx, all but one 7-2, all the class 8's the lone Pro truck and class 2. It never ceases to amaze me how the Moss Brothers do so much with so little in a 33 year old Bronco.

Gotta get to work so my story will have to wait.

Ahem. TWO Class 6 trucks. We came in second and finished in 13 minutes less time.

Had an awesome weekend down there as well. Got to put to truck to use after a very long hiatus. Sean (new owner of Convoy's bronco, and probably here somewhere on the site) got his rig back from Southwest for a tune up and took her straight down. We did 100+ miles in the dirt with no issues. He had a #$%^ eating grin all weekend. We stayed real mobile on race day and were able to see the trucks 4 times, all while running on the fumes of a Paris hangover!
Can't wait for the 1000!

Yes the Steele truck we let by at about mile 400 (I think they missed the VCP there by a bit because we had to jog way back over to hit it) Who was driving there? THey were really movin through the tight stuff and made that 13 plus minutes on us by the finish but we did change out drivers and splashed some fuel. We could have slowed that Honda down a few times if you had clued us in. They were dogging us all day.

We lost a trans at the grass patch near Valley T, that set us back 2 hours or so. We lost a trans at the 1000 too... we need to figure out what changed because we never had problems before. Rene Brugger was in the truck... he is a very fast driver. It's amazing the truck does so well since it does not really belong in Class 6.

Hey Philo,
Yeah I know, no sweat!... plus we were really just a touch and go. Got in, set up for the 101 and 12 cars and the took off as soon as they cleared!

Convoy, here ya go.

She's in good hands. That truck is gonna see a whole lot of Baja miles. Nothing's changed cosmetically except some Toyo all terrains. I think Mark tuned in the front end a bit more (new ball joints maybe?), and got the 4x4 working. I think the plan is to add a third seat, have an upright spare carrier mounts for a big ass cooler and storage boxes as well as surf racks.

No doubt Rick. Every time I checked the tracker you guys had reeled in another 6. You held a pace consistent with that Kia/Honda. It's so awesome to see that old Bronco smoking the super wahzooo little trophy trucks.

Hey T,
Can you tell who makes it? I can't make anything out.

Yup, the are a custom retrofit using the exact same projector I use on the Brnco retrofit. Looked fantastic in person!
