Re: B1k 2011 Picture thread... vamonos!!
The first picture is where we ate the world's greatest tacos, Taqueria El Flamazo.....MMMM
First you eat and then you pay....its awesome to see places where the honor system still works and a man's word actually holds value. I'm looking forward to the next time we dine like kings in Mexico. Tacos de asada and Coca Cola in Baja is better than any fancy restaurant.
For those of you who are secretly Mopar fans.....I'm sorry.... It looks like this '70 will live after extensive body work. Hopefully it doesn't wind up in some lonely abandoned hillside Yonke.
The last two pictures are of a cool ranger we found in Ensenada.

Re: B1k 2011 Picture thread... vamonos!!
Jesus is really big in Baja
I spy with my average sized eye a trophy truck at the border crossing.
I was telling Tony how cool that truck is and how it just flat out moves....I mentioned that I rode in it with BJ and Tony just about slammed on the brakes. It's a good thing I didn't have my Churros yet or I could have made a mess.
Its too bad the truck broke....would have loved to have seen it finish.
Well, that't the end of my pictures but hopefully there's more to come from others...????

Damn Straight! It did replace White Lightning so it has to be stronger. Chris is tougher than Burt Reynolds though since he ran it through Baja making the Brick Nose Legacy that much richer.Silverslk wrote:Man, droopy must have some serious power!!!

As always... Aqui, your pictures are absolutely spectacular! Thanks so much for sharing! It rounds out the experience...
Running down the race course, at night, with a trailer... now that's a true baja race experience! I'd rather not do that again!

Re: B1k 2011 Picture thread... vamonos!!
Unfortunately I never had enough time to grab my camera and adjust the settings in time to catch the Moss Bros Bronco flying by just before 6 am. I heard their engine and quickly got up to watch them come by....I got to see it and it was looking awesome.
That was some awesome driving you did with the trailer through the race course, haha. I really enjoyed the ride through the powerline road and the washes the next day though....that was freaking cool!
You definitely have driving skills.

Re: B1k 2011 Picture thread... vamonos!!
I'd suggest the 3.4L Tacoma engine.....or if its easier....a 5.0L HO out of a fox mustang and put an AOD behind it. The AOD would easily work in such a light truck like that.
Hmmm, on second thought....just finish the Crew and sell me the Taco and I'll make arrangements for the swap. I already have a 5.0L HO out of a mustang and it ran really awesome before it was pulled to make way for a stroker.

I've already told you - the taco will see NO love from me. It's just a place holder til I finish something cool...
Well, I did fix the door handle this weekend, but that's just because Andy ruined ,y system while in Baja and it made it much harder to let Karen in the truck. 1/2 and hour of good time wasted on a truck I don't care about & I can get the lady in easily again.

Yup. Not only do I not car enough about the truck to take the time to fix it, but it makes it so other people can't get in my truck - even if I forget to lock the doors!!!!
