I have read a little about it, and I believe there is a thread on here somewhere, and pretty much all you do is extend the lower balljoint location about 3/4". You will need to clearance the passenger side axle joint to get the most travel you can. Do you have any idea how much wider the d44 beams are compared to what was on the ranger?
I dont know yet I found some info on desertrangers and they said 5.5 inches on each side so, so maybe cut and turn but not extend them. Yea we will definitely half to make the new mounting brackets .

Thanks were just going to cut the beams to lower the front down and put bags on the back.

there is a guy on DR that sells brackets that let you bolt the d44 on. I don't think a cut & turn is needed at that point. Not positive.

As for this - you mean cut the coils I assume? If so, the camber will be pretty nasty. How are you going to correct that? Bend or pie cut the beams????

Oh and if we had edit back these last 3 posts could have just been in 1 post. :x

When I got the truck the coils were already cut so the camber was already mest up, yea were going to extend the ends of the beams and pie it to correct the camber.

Well guys I went and steam cleaned all the parts I had, ttb, transfer case, and a few others. The ttb and the ford 9 inch should be getting trussed soon, but nothing major is going to happen until we do this next race with the bronco and then it goes up for sale. Knock on wood that now ive said that noting bad happens.

Well we still have plains for the 4x4 ranger but just as a chase/prerunner, this is going to be the new race truck. It has a 3 link in the back, were going to pull out and put a 4 link in with a fresh 9inch, and the front has custom 1inch kingpins with swinger set-up steering. It has the stock 3.0 in it still with a manuel, we have plans for a 302 swap in the future, but for now were going to make this motor run on the bare minimum, and I was wondering if any one made a smog delete kit for that motor. The bronco on the other hand will be going up for sale soon to pay for the new truck, i dont know when but if you see it on racedezert this is why.

Well heres a little update, engine has been stripped all AC components and pulled the water pump because the clutch fan is froze on and to do that I had to pull the power steering pump to get the last bolt, who ever designed that needs to go back to school and not make it so complicated. We also pilled the seats and a few little things. Heres a pic of the rear axle were building.

It was my brothers and he put it up for sale so we got it and are making it the new race truck, since its already caged and has already been linked, so were just upgrading it besides building a whole new truck.

Sweet! I am going to go for a drive in the bronco this weekend, if I can get my buddy to let me borrow his nitrogen, to charge the shocks.

I started it under its own wiring, and I am happy to say that the motor sounds extremely beastly!

Junk yard find of the day: A 1990 ford 5.0HO with hydrologic lifters and forged pistons. With a good set of heads and a cam, and I need to find a small block c6 now.

I am working on my roll cage right now, I wish your brother was down here helping me! I got the A-pillars bent, and b-pillars cut, I have the mounts made, and holes drilled.

What roll cage regulations are you going with?

Nice truck!
