I talked to Glen about this at the last code race. Depending on the date and if it doesn't conflict with KOH or Snore PAB race we will have our bronco out there. Last weekend was my first CODE race and it was a lot of fun, can't wait to race our bronco in Baja!

So we have decided we would rather get class 3 going again so we decided to do this race even if it conflicts with other races. So count our bronco in for the first race and hopefully the rest of the season if we are able to get a good turnout. Its going to be hard to get any team members to go to this one so if anyone out there wants to help us with pit support send me a PM. Most of our team members live in Northern, CA. I am in the process of moving to San Diego area so this race will be close to me but we all know desert racing is team effort. Were excited to finally be putting a Baja race on the schedule!

We have Class 3 setup with CODE now. I'm already on the entry list. Alfonso thought it would be a good idea to set the wheelbase limit to 110.5" consistent with JeepSpeed. I agree that's a good idea. The class rules are pretty wide open. Production based, 110.5" wheelbase, 4x4 required. Its a Pro Class with 60% payback and entry is only approx $550. There is no cheaper way to race Baja.

Bring those Grand Cherokees, Kias, 4-Runners, Broncos, Blazers, Landcruisers, and Jeepspeeds out and lets go race Baja! The CODE series is one of the best run orgs out there and the race tracks offer lots of room to pass on old school Baja terrain with open chasing. The races are close to the border, mostly out of Mexicali. You can camp or find cheap hotels in Mexicali. And the races are short to keep costs down, no pits needed in the first race since it's a Gran Prix with three (3) 20-mile laps in the morning then another heat of 3x20 miles in the afternoon.

Just saw the results on the CODE site. Looks like Andrew gave it a good run the first lap. What happened the 2nd lap? Sorry there were only 2 of you, but I hope you keep at it and begin to draw more entries. I would be racing it if I could swing it. Not in the cards just yet.

I sure was impressed by CODE organization and race conduct. And the location is great. Grandstands and nice people.
Quite a pleasure compared to SCORE.
