Test driving the bronco tonight, lights worked good, but the motor is still cutting out so I'm going to try replacing the fuel pump.

Off to the lake to drop off the trailer and the part of the crew that doesn't want to go to the race.

Updates on this weeks race, we had to run class 8 again , but dominated the other racers in our class. The first 2 laps were just mapping and getting use to the track, and after the 2 laps we pitted and fueled up, the 3rd lap is when the problems started the power steering pump lid came off so we didn't have power steering for half a lap the track bar bolt came lose, so when we came into the pits my brothers friends made a lid out of ducktap and my son was under the truck tightening the bolt. This track bar problem kept happening throughout the race but then the gear box arm bolt came lose and that wasnt fun to drive. The officials said we got second in our class but the truck that got first didn't even do all the laps so that was dumb and just finishing the race and driving the bronco onto the trailer is a win in my book.

Okay i have another question for you guys, our rear suspension is still a little stiff and I was wondering if there was any tricks we could do to the rear leaf springs, they are Deaver H-57 superflex 10 pack with extra long shackles,or I lower the compression in the shocks to 175-150, they have a compression of 200 right now, and just wanted to hear your guys opinion on the situation.

When you say lower the compression are you referring to shock gas psi? If so you can go down to 100psi with little seepage, below that the shocks will leak oil. 150 is better.

Yes ! 200 psi. I know when there not pressurized they seem okay off the work bench but once you charge them they are stiffer than sh-t. We went in and changed the compression setting to light on shims . Maybe need to go extra light on 2.5 shocks? What's everyone think? We have 2.0 bump stopped also and they only travel at best half way thought there travel.

Updates, repainted the hood so it looks white and not a greyish color, fixed the trac bar, fixed the steering, and now were just mounting new things.

Well after cycling the rear suspension we found out why we weren't getting a lot of down travel, the shocks were rubbing and causing the rear end not to fully cycle.

More updates, were finally getting around to mounting a sway-bar in the back because are next race is more of a high-speed, than 3 foot whoops the whole race, mounting a LED light bar on top which should help a lot, and fixed the fuel problem we were having. We still have parts coming in so I will keep posting updates on the truck.
