Hey, they waived at us first! I can't believe they were able to get it out of there, and at the time I didn't even realize they had rolled it.

Congrats to Chris and Glen, well done. We did not have enough truck for you in San Felipe.

Chris, give me a call as soon as you can.

Crazy story. Congrats on the win. It's rarely easy, but to hear that you had some roof time and landed on your wheels is whacko. I did it once as well at SF, but was lucky to be the last finisher of the race. To win over Team Moss in the last ten miles of the event is epic.

==========
Locked hub meant the axle was spinning. Maybe that would explain why the outer joint was trashed. The inner one had many pieces missing. Probably from continuous thrashing in the beam?

Was it a one finger waive?

Great race, everyone. Thanks for the recaps!

Not a chance. Glen and I have huge respect for what Moss team has done and continues to do.

Well it's not really an EB, it's a 91 Bronco with a modified EB body on it. I'll see if I can remember to shoot some carnage pics this weekend before we wash and tear down.
I'm still planning to take it to Easter Jeep Safari and it will likely still be bent up then.

Hey Chris, did customs give you a bad time for importing foreign mud without a permit. :-)

As a matter of fact they sent us through the scanning machine and then pulled us off to the side and asked about radioactive materials and then went all around everything with a geiger counter. We guessed that maybe there was some tiny trace element of radioactive earth in the mud on the racer. I think we are lucky they did not turn us around for the mud, they do that on occasion - perhaps because it fools the scanning machines. Should of taken the racer to a car wash in San Felipe.

Hey Chris, do you race with the hubs locked? Also, how are the those locking hubs holding up so far?
