Well...Chasetruck (Steve) posted progress pics so I figured I would do the same. I test fit my first console and it was back to the drawing board. Realized I needed to move a few things and change up the dimensions a bit. I hope to get it powdercoated this weekend then move on to the rest of the re-worked dash.

That's why this project is taking so long. He's actually building a fleet of them and teasing us with photos from each one. What are you up to now? 30 of them?

Doesn't everybody build project vehicles 30 at a time?

Nope. Us normal people just built 5 different things at the same time so no one is ever done!

Nice to see my competition for slowest build ever making some headway too

Whoa whoa whoa, if I was going to give up I would have done it a long time ago! Haha!

Just ended up having to re-do some of the dash that snowballed from a few other changes, and some wiring stuff didn't show up when it was supposed to, and my to-do list was overwhelming, and this things a financial black hole..... I was just pouting, hope for some updates soon. Thanks for the kind words :D

I'll be contacting you again shortly and hopefully I can put a small dent in that black hole you speak of.

Awesome Steve. I'll keep an eye out.

Managed to make a little progress. Wiring is taking me a long time as I've never tackled anything of this scope before. My business partner always did all the wiring for us. I am taking my time to research and learn the whole system, so if anything ever fails, I understand it in it's entirety.

I got the new dash made, and the revised console in the truck. It feels good to be making a little progress again.

I lost all the gauge hold in's a long time ago so I made up some new (hopefully stronger) versions of the Auto-meter brackets.

Took Philo's advise on starters and spent the coin on a Powermaster. It seems pretty simple to wire and is super light.

Interior should be simple and functional. Not much in the way of creature comforts or bling.

Tried to make the center console with plenty of access panels, as it houses most of my wiring. It should be removable with a couple plugs at the front and the back.

A heater? Why would you want that in Mexico?

No GPS, but I did install a map light.
