It always seems to take longer than anticipated to build a vehicle, but I saw your post about paint so you must be getting near a race date...

I have been waiting for this for 4 months. It is the heart of a truly long travel TTB. Made of 300m.
Now we can finish the front end.

That's a piece of art there. Beautiful! CTM build the whole unit? Got an extra one you need to unload? Haha!

Wow, that is not a cheap piece. I looked in to having something like that being made about five years ago since I was actually planning on building beams with similer pivots to yours. How much slip travel is there? About 6"?

Yes the axle and slip yoke were mfg by CTM.
Philo you are correct, the total slip for this axle is around 6".

I am using CTM 297X joints on the axles and an Atlas 2.0 transfer case. The drive shafts both use 1350 joints.

Beautiful work.Love that driveshaft looks hella stout.A friend of mine mentioned using stock ford full-time hubs on his racer.1 cheap and easy to replace 2 dont have to get out and lock or unlock them. And 3 best to have them be the weak link and carry some spare parts for them, Than blow a pinion or ring gear or U-joint.Thought he had some valid points.Any ways hope all is well and the project is moving forward for ya.Looking good.

Snowflake is coming up in September, do you go to any of the Whiplash races or just BITD? Your truck looks amazing!

I fairly sure he is keeping a lot quiet on this one. Expect it to be under a cover at races with a guy named Guido guarding it. This truck is quite a bit different than anything else in it's class.
