Next up

380HP please. We have a 2003 lightning drive train wiring PCM and gas tank. I did some research This is the easiest way to upgrade. Ford kept most of the same harness and wiring so this keeps me from doing a complete rewire and keeps OBD2 scanning still for trouble shooting.

this is not a race truck so I have the ability to stop and relax anytime I need too....I will also add help for cooling in a few different ways( I know heat will be one of the issues). I will keep it stock and party no crazy tunes for add HP and smog legal. Drive it to the dirt drive it home.

Very nice, what's your plan for fuel pump, intercooler, and gauge cluster?

current set up is Dual Bosch pumps I will check flow on them.
I will add a liquid tank for the stock intercooler and place heat exchange in front of radiator or maybe back with tanny coolers if I feel it will flow ok. I will also add electric water pump like stock uses to move the coolant it will be one more thing i will need to check but can carry a second pump easy as needed.

Gauge cluster might keep stock and add boost gauge the lightning cluster, the only gauge that different is top right corner. F-150 has battery lightning has boost I think ....

Radical! Sounds like you got a pretty good game plan!

FYI those ford electric intercooler water pumps like to fail due to the relay or the pump itself...I used to replace the relay pretty often on the Cobra and the Harley truck and I would also pull the motor apart once a year or so just to snap the brushes and blow it out...what sucks is you never know if they are actually running or not unless you put eyes on it or have a way to monitor it...they wont throw a CEL, it will just keep pulling timing until it is in a safe zone which sucks cox...always thought it would be cool to add a small indicator light on the backside of the pump to know when it stops turning, or a simple water temp probe would work. Just a thought.

the temp probe would mean it heating up so it not working kinda thing a warning sign? copy

You either need a way of readily monitoring your downstream IAT (Intake air temp) after the cooler, or you could monitor your water temp in the cooler system since it's completely separate of your engine coolant...or just pop the hood every now and then to see if your res tank is moving water, if the pump isnt moving then the water just sits in the other cooler under the blower, gets hot, and will start pulling power due to high IAT temps which will make it lean out if doesnt pull timing...the problem is that the pumps will intermittently work quite often due to the relay or pump itself. You are welcome to call me if you want better clarity.

The light set up on this truck makes me smile every time I get to use it. The rear floods makes life nice when working on trucks.
