Finally going to start tearing into this thing, kicking around stroking it or just throwing my parts I’ve got stashed in it and sending it

Good weekend out at the PCI 300 with Andy, Brian, Chris Puente, and Chris and Alyssa Russell, once we got over the race we decided to get some lunch at Barstow Del Taco.

Turns out my fuel pump extension came apart (I have the 38 gallon fuel tank swap) so I was able to limp the truck home and whipped up this ugly but hopefully effective solution to my problem.

Turns out getting dragged 10-20 miles through the desert with no engine power is hard on your steering gear, so I ordered these Sunday night (long overdue)

too late on the sale. Spoke with King yesterday and i cant change my order for the rear shocks (i have 3.0 4 tubes on the way for a bed cage) so i went ahead and installed the red head last night after work, going to finally reinstall the saginaw pump tonight (got a bad one out of the box) and the borgesen shaft too.

Nice!

Jim seems to be really happy with his redhead and borgeson.

Got the Redhead and Steering Shaft stabbed in after work, can’t wait until it’s motor time and I give this engine bay the love and care it deserves.

Did the borgeson help that much? I have a new box overhauled by a local shop but it still wanders.

finally decided to tackle my body mount bushings, for those of you wondering, its not bad if you have a 1/2" impact, and you can make a puller very easily out of readily available parts from your local hardware store. I used 7/16" coarse all thread, a nut, a washer, a random piece of plate i had, and a 3" by 8" piece of pipe, and it worked like a charm. I was able to get the four front ones done pretty quickly but ran out of time, I will tackle the final 2 sometime this week after work.
