1995 F-150 Build

Post by S00TLYFE »

A lot of you guys already know, but I picked up a super clean F-150 a few weeks ago.

1995 302/Auto with 184,000 miles. The truck still passes smog and the AC blows ice cold. I have all the stuff to convert it to 4x4 which I will probably do after desert season is over. As of right now shes on track to make me all over Baja for the 50th 1000 next week.

That's my ideal goal. Mild build, super clean, stock width.

We'll see what happens but that's what my goal is. As long as it can get me down to baja for beer and tacos I'm happy with it.

Well the Autofab basically stock width fenders are super cool and fit great. If I️ had gone that route- THOUSANDS still would be in my account and months of work saved!!!

I actually have a set of F53 deavers at deaver getting freshened up that will go on the rear along with Taylor (nubreed) old coilovers and bypasses, not sure if I'll have time to get them on before the 1000 tho.

Haha I hear ya dude I feel like you might as well count on about 15k minimum in additional spending the second you decide to go wider.

I can say that the 38 gallon rear tank is super easy to install and makes it easy to ditch the front factory tank if you choose which really opens up the rear shock placement on the upper mount.

That's definitely on my list of things to do, how does the line situation work though? Just cap off the stuff for the front tank?

Haven't looked SUPER closely but I haven't found a good write up on it yet.

There’s a couple ways to do it. I cut the tit off at the block where the lines go to
The front pump and welded up the hole but wouldn’t do that again. Personally cut before and after the block of sorts where the line goes to the front pump, slide a tube nut and sleeve over the line, single flare and put a -6an male/male fitting in to connect the two lines.

that seems easy enough, already got a bronco tank too and deleted the spare tire carrier
