I have a set from a 1997 F250 reg cab 8' bed 460 auto built in Mexico 8600 GVWR any good for off roading at speed? I have not pulled them yet so I don't know the exact specs and being on the east coast not much for Baja racers out here to socialize with for info. thanks,

I am currently doing a build on a 96 f250 ccsb 2wd with a 7.3l powerstroke. We are going with bent f250 beams from autofab and coilovers up front. Probably going to use solo radius arms since they are the same spread as dana44 ttb. Wanted to use the solo engine cage but the motor is just too big. I don't understand why people want to jump their diesel trucks. Are you wanting to put them on a different truck?

I may want to use it on a 70's long travel setup. I'll cut the whole front clip out of the scrap truck.

Why not just use the 70's beams?? They would be better candidate in my opinion. '97 beams are cast with balljoints and unequal length. 70's beams are forged, with kingpins & equal length. Possible "downside" on the 70's stuff is they are rear steer, but you can convert to front steer depending on how far you go in the build.
