2x on the grounds Zach, especially the starter solenoid, clean those up good, glob them in Vaseline, and make sure the cables are good and tight

Got her back last night, brand new ignition from Ford, starts right up fine, no issues since that night. Connections all good, so just gonna drive it and not worry about it anymore

Died again so cleaned the grounds individually and took the advice and put some Vaseline on, no issues since then so I think that solved it, thanks guys. Trucks running fine right now but the other day I drove it into town to pick up my AR in the middle of sheets of sideways rain so bad that part of my driveway flooded, hit a big muddy puddle on our narrow little two lane road and the truck started running funky, like pretty rough. Thought maybe it sucked something up from the puddle cuz when it hit it water washed over the whole cab and hood, so pulled over left the engine running and checked everything and it looked/sounded fine, got back in and drove off and it was like nothing happened.. Weird

Check the connections for the speed density. The intake air temp sensor connector on mine was broken when I bought the truck. It was still connected and ran fine when dry, but once water made its way into the sensor it would run funky for a bit. It is located on the lower intake on the drivers side, towards the front of the motor. Just a thought. Good luck!

Thanks to everyone that offered advice here and elsewhere, the F1fiddy made it up to Big Bear and back 99% issue free! Only had to drop her into 4wd once, the rest of the time the KO2's gripped everything and kept us goin. Helped me figure out some more things I need/want to do next as well.

Looks like fun. I was up there right before xmas when it snowed and had to drive down the hill as it was snowing. White everything plus heavy fog/snowing = no visible anything. Did you ever get those stock shackles on or does it still rub?

Still rubbing:/ don't worry man I'll have the drop shackles boxed up for you as soon as I have time to get em swapped out

Anyone know how to tighten up the spring on the factory wiper arms? My drivers wiper arm doesn't have enough tension, worked fine in the snow but in this heavy rain we've been gettin I can't see shit at speed. It's got brand new blades, just can't get em to stay tight to the glass

Not sure if there's a way to adjust the springs, my wipers do the same thing, and I have brand new wiper arms and blades. Do yourself a favor, if you have the mono blade wipers, ditch those blades and just use standard style cheapies, work a million times better on our trucks.

I just started my wiper project. External relay rod cause my engine cage going through the dash to cab cage is in the way of the stock unit. I had same issue with tensions I just bent the arm towards the wind shield to achieve more tension worked great

All I know is the Bosch Icon wiper blades if you buy them right- Walmart, online source is well worth the money. I think wiper arms from the JY are really cheap and brand new are cheap too on EBay.

I'm running Goodyears from Costco just cuz I had a set laying around, work well when they grip. Bending the wiper arm has seemed to work so far.

No idea what I'm gonna do with them but snagged these two wide factory dentside(or bump side?) long wheel base Camper Special rear wheels at work that someone trashed. They just look cool, prol gonna spray paint em and stack them somewhere lol I have a slight parts/vehicle collecting problem.
Then I traded my 1980 Zephyr for this 1977 Mercury Monarch. 2-owner AZ car, 250ci six and a factory 4-speed on the floor! Needed cash more but this was so unusual I had to have it. No idea what I'm gonna do to it when I finally have time, but my good buddy suggested a street drifter build, gut the interior, cage it, fixed back buckets, welded diff, and thrash it. Idk.. My girl said she'd leave me if I bought any more cars ..that was 4 cars ago lolol Image
