Anyone know the size of the four rear bumper bolts that secure it to the frame? Got rid of my old ones when I sold the factory bumper like a dingus.

I think they're 5/8" or 7/8".

If they are the same as my old ones, they are M12 thread, with a 15mm head and 18mm nut hex.

Sooo I did a thing, and kinda ‘sold’ my F-150 to my girlfriend, and picked up an ‘06 Power Wagon out of state.. but don’t worry I still have my ‘89 baby Bronco lol. Things will continue on with the F-150 and it’ll get more love as she plans to drive it more often and keep her 4Runner parked. Plan to slowly fix and improve things on the PDubya, as it’ll be our primary road trip rig after I graduate. Say hello to Big BlueImage

Has anyone run the Desolate stage 1 leveling coils on their rigs? I have leveling coils on right now but I’m looking for something with a tad bit more height and softer off road. Me and my girl decided we want to keep the truck below a 4” lift and keep the stock beams and radius arms for the time being so just gonna replace the coils and shocks

I recall reading somewhere (here?) that Rancho Ranger TTB 4" lift springs will give about 1 - 1 1/2" of lift on a Bronco and ride softer when combined with a Bilstein 5100(?) shock, than other Bronco specific levelling springs. I'm curious about this too, as both Mike's Bronco and my F truck are a little harsh on the front and local "lift/levelling" springs are much heavier in their rating than stock. Kinda like running over 2 x 4's on every road crack. Might have been on Desertrides or Pirate 4x4, can't remember.

If you want a softer ride, and not a lot of height, pick up some springs from either a straight six or a single cab. I ran 4” single cab 351w springs and bilstein 5100s on my truck and it ride incredibly for what it was. Way better than my Cummins. If procomp makes 2” springs, I’d pick up a set of those for a single cab 5.0 and some stock height 5100s. They’d probably give you around 1.5” inches and ride killer.

Yeah I got about an 1”-1.5” right now on old Pro Comp springs, so I need a tad more, cuz my 33s are munching the back of the fenders just going in and out of driveways and that’s after already trimming the liners and bending the fender lip back. Decided I’m probably just gonna bite the bullet and get Desolate’s stage 1 kit so there’s no guess work. I would really love a full stage 1.5 kit with high clearance radius arms but I may have to sell the B2 to afford that at the moment haha

Tough to go much higher than a couple inches of lift without a cut/turn or drop downs. Even at a 2" lift, your eccentrics are pretty much maxed out. Hit the offroad swapmeet in a couple months!

Yeah I put my B2 up for sale again to see if I can free up some funds for the F1’s front end. The Leduc swapmeet?

A lot of the rubbing may be stemming from your wheel choice too, you’re on 15x10s right? I really don’t think you should be rubbing on more or less a level and 33” bfgs that run small in the first place. I agree with what was said above too though, I was on a 2” coil and maxed out eccentrics before I went to a 4” on my ford and it ate tires something terrible.

Yeah 15x10s keep it from rubbing on the radius arms, but rub on the fender liners which I trimmed. The problem I have now is when they’re stuffed they rub. Already gonna break out the dremel and trim some more crap off, but it’s only a temporary fix, I can’t stuff the tires on a trail without putting little cuts in my tread blocks. If I had to do it all over again I would probably just have kept my old Alcoas or ordered some 15x8 Methods in the color combo I wanted. I keep waffling about actually letting the B2 go, but I know the F1 will need attention in the drivetrain department soon with all the miles it’s got

Who here has upgraded to LED headlight bulbs with a stock style housing still? I’m tired of my crappy old HIDs.. was really happy with the LED headlight bulbs in my Ram, but not sure what I’ll need to make a set work in the F150. Inline resistors? Just bulbs? Idk

I’m running LED’s in my stock housing. Bought the bulbs off Amazon for $30.

I ended up running into Santee and picking up a set from OZ lighting, $70 for fabless hi/lo’s isn’t terrible. Will report back once I tear out the old HIDs

Water pump and AC clutch took a shit, found a bunch of other crap wrong after removing em so been working on doing a complete cooling and pulley system overhaul, new timing cover/gaskets also. Thought about doing a Saginaw pump conversion but couldn’t justify the extra cost since this truck doesn’t see much hard off road use anymore and it’s only on 33sImage
Also the OZ-usa led headlights are awesome for the money, plugged right in and worked without any issues. Still gotta align em correctly once I get some OEM headlight adjusters to replace the crappy broken aftermarket adjusters I’ll get pics. They’re already 100x brighter than the old HIDs though, just had to dremel the round bulb socket holder things a bit to clear the back of the bulb housings
