Couple things- the main body plug on the inside of the cab is literally right behind the big cast aluminum steering column mount. There’s a little excess piece of steel that can be cut out so that when I need to remove ad or test a wire there’s just a titch more room to remove the wiring.

Second are these little stick on cable tye mounts- these things legit stick after you clean the surface. Just so many great uses for behind the scenes mounting of stuff.

Had the visits done awhile back and I just love what the guy was able to do. Covered the visors in the same matierial on the seats, I then had the mechanism powered-coated (powder-coating is the heroin of automotive coatings btw), then I fabbed a “clip piece” of sorts to hold those things that you really need to stay in place. Not sure if I’m happy using trim screws but short of doing nut-serts I don’t think threading the sheet metal would yield enough strength- so trim screws I guess will have to suffice. The black plastic visor clips were off some later model Ford so no paint was used fortunately.

Powdercoating is the pinnacle of modification detail, just makes everything so nice. Has anyone tried cerakote?

Powder is nice, and yes you open a can of worms as to what to do next or not to do etc. but I think most any coating is that way and electroless nickel tops powder in that realm.

I need a smaller windshield washer reservoir and this one kinda fits the bill but at 19oz of capacity, no sight glass and $119 it’s no exactly perfect- but it is black! Lol. The one pretty cool thing is the pump and how nice the connector is- anyone know of a inline washer pump like this one that has a nice electrical connector?

That is an interesting pump for sure. Maybe spend a few minutes at the counter of the local Vato Zone and pic the parts guys brain if he's seen anything like it. My guess is it's off a late model something... Maybe a parts guy would see the pic & could show you something similar. The can could then easily be fabricated.

If you happen to find out what the pump is post up please. I've had more than one project I wanted to go to a smaller/fabricated washer setup on.

Best pump I think is the Ford late model unit which is on literally any ford and is pretty cheap! Super easy design and the connector is really clean and a breeze to swap out if it needs replaced.

Finished up a little something for the ol girl that’s kinda a special addition that most might not see at first ...brings a touch of SVT to the project

Little speedometer/lighting tech: so I’ve just completed disassembled and gone through a PSOM cluster. Many are wanting all LED lights and that’s fine but installing the lights can be really easy but can be a complete pain. First thing first remove the assembly from the dash. Just take the 2 screws out of the face that hold the auto selector, the two larger rectangular clips and it pops right out. So in the pic I show the positive/negative orientation of the bulbs and with LED’s there’s a difference. The pic of the back of the cluster is marked so you can know what’s what if a new bulb is needed. I can’t suggest enough inspecting, cleaning and testing the bulbs prior to putting back in place. Another really important thing is bulb size the short bulbs in the pic are the only style are the only ones that actually fit- except in the one corner of the PSOM highlighted with my finger that shows where a larger bulb is actually needed. The longer bulbs are too long and crash into the plastic that transmits the light onto the face. Trust me on this the long bulbs don’t fit!

How well does the dimming function work with the LED's? Are the blinker indicators visible during the day now? Mine are almost invisible when there's any kind of sunlight available.

I’ll have to let you know - I’ve had LED’s for awhile and they don’t dim that great but are nicely visible at night.

Love aluminum “stringer washers” instead of stainless fender washers in some applications; like when you want that entire rubber bushing - like on the radiator support a/c condenser mounts- to get compressed and not squish out from the center out the way a fender washer will when it’s gets tightened down.

Two pieces to finish off the front of the engine. These are actual rebuilt FOMOCO pieces that have been disassembled, inspected, powdercoated, and reassembled. The 3G has been beefed up to a 200amp unit and the a/c is a premium rebuild of an OEM compressor core. I’ve really been turned off by brand new chinwanese products to see them fail in short order. Personally I think good used clean/inspected parts or parts rebuilt using USA/Japan parts that are still much better than new Chiwanese- used USA/Japan seals, bearings and oem quality just are tough to beat!

Added a small widow tattoo to Marilyn. So I figured this was about as subtle a way to put the name of the project on the truck. The signature is of the most famous Marilyn of them all... the famous one was white, pretty full in the hips (size 10), and sexy as hell....I think my Marilyn is all those things!
