I would say the shot in the air made the whole trip worth it. Love it! Good to see you finally get that truck out there. I'm sure next year it will be ready to hit it hard.

Like the others guys said it's nice to see it in action. I'm sure it felt good.

As for the plastic welding - I'd look at doing an aluminum sheet patch sealed with silicon or the like & pop riveted on. Trim it back a bit more when doing so to gain some clearance.

I just looked for pics of what I did on the ranger years ago after hacking the heater box to stuff the 3.8L in there. I didn't find any of the final product (that I had already scanned/saved at least), but this oldie shows how much I hacked off. Heater worked just like normal after I patched this up. I used something like .045 sheet or something and just bent/contoured it to cover the hole. Ran a bead of silicone around the edge and pop riveted on. Drill the pop rivet locations and get those set before the silicone of course.

Finished up my “rock-skirt” finally and I checked with Geiser Bro’s. about the actual material to use. I think it turned out pretty cool and should function like it’s intended. The pic with a soda can is a visual for height off the ground.

Ordered up a couple Quickfist mounts for the jack handle. Cut about two inches off the length so fitting inside the bed box is super easy; no reason to mount in the bed to have it easily stolen. Welded the handle together as well for a more solid action when using the jack. Funny how long all these tiny projects take 60-90 minutes at a time and if you don’t do all these little details you’re left with a truck that just isn’t something you can put your trust in.

Finally got the gas tank routing done how I want it and put a line to vent the rear end/gas tank. The clear stuff will either last a long time or be a total bust. I’ve got tons of older -6an ss hose and fittings - wouldn’t trust the hose for fuel pressure anymore but with zero pressure hopefully it works as a vent. I added some anti abrasion sleeving to help keep the ss from tearing up anything.

Looks awesome man. Your truck is so clean underneath, you better get under there with a pressure washer to blast all that dust off!

What material did you end up using on the skirt. I might have my guy do something similar while he finishing up my truck.

Per Geiser Bros. - conveyer belt material- if those guys say use that material you can’t argue about it! I think the really long strip of material on the back acting like a really long washer is going to work really well.

Waiting on Charlie at Power Steering Solutions to work his magic on my steering box, pump and ram— I’m working on small projects for SEMint 100+ prep. The dust lights and third brake light configuration is finalized. There are some expensive alternatives that are nice but I’m personally just not a fan so here’s my method.

My weekend project. Trying to successfully meld a factory 13 Raptor console to an aluminum skin that transitions to the dash and mates up and matches the dash contour exactly. So why like half way - I’m going to make the side pieces then weld the 2 together. It’s all getting wrapped in a thin padding and vinyl that matches the seats. It’s either going to turn out awesome or awful!!
