How are you liking the wheels ace tires so far? I'm needing some on my truck and considering this option. I'll need to lift it somehow though, it's still stock

I am really happy with them. I was worried about them being loud like mud tires, but not bad at all. A lift on the truck would be needed. I have a 6" lift on my truck. The tires do rub on the bottom of the inner fender behind the wheel, but only in a turn at full lock, left and right. I need to move the inner fender all the way to the body and bold it back. I am not sure How l am going to deal with it yet. Other then that, the 3.5 backspacing is great. The 35" tires on stock backspacing would rub on the leaf Springs at full lock.

I have a 95 so I wonder if the rubbing would be an issue with mine too. My tires are 315 on stock Alcoa's and only rub if the suspension is articulating at full lock. But my tires look like they're about to implode so something will need to happen soon

The tires are cheap to buy but the rims need to be recentered and are $250. But from then on a $100-$200 for a surplus 37" BFG baja vs a 17" Baja from a tire store at $400 -$500 per tire.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. 1800 now and then only 4-600 next time.

I'm contemplating going to 37s on mine. How do you feel about the jump. I have 2.5" leveling springs and my 315s rub. I'd like to go minimal lift so I'm thing 4" and 37s

Have you noticed a big drop in mpg? Also you had a chance to tie? Feels difference?

With looking at my truck, a 6" lift is a must with 37x12.50x16.5 if you are going to take the truck off road without cutting the fenders. Even with a 6" lift the inner fenders rub in a turn when I hit a bump. I have not addressed that issue yet.

My 295s used to rub at the lower part of the fender liner near where the stock mud flap attached. Pulled it back with a coat hanger. Now the coat hanger is gone is not touch.

Good fix Paul.

I have already over engineered it in my head with a piece of steel 1.5"×.120 and bolt the lower part of the inner fender all the way back to the body. I will have to trim the plastic a bit on the edge of the inner fender but will look clean and should be durable for the long term.

I have 2.5" springs in front 315/75R16. They rub when tight turning. It looks ok but the truck is so long the 315s(35s) still look tiny. Really want to go to 37s but I don't want to go way up. I guess I'll get the sawlzal out.....

I chased in Baja for the last 13 year's with the 6" lift and the BFG 315/75 16 on my F350. I would have stayed with them if it had not been for Discount tire saying they would no longer install them on stock 7in wide rims.

But now that Iade the change, I am really happy with the setup. I can't wait to get out to the Dunes this year.

Ha -- Same here I needed a balance while on a trip. DT told me no way. After a search in the big city I found a farm store. Turns out they did a good job. Now days I use the farm store here in Durango. Tire boss is a Jeeper and he understands.
To get my Bajas mounted in CA I just called various tire places until I found one near Chris' place.
What a joke.
BTW the wear with the skinny rims is nice and even. Of course the front TTB does wear faster than the rears even with the rear spool. And right front wears faster than left. No surprise.
The F350 also wears even on the stock Alcoas
Such it is.

Ya, I got about 60,000 miles out of the last set of BFG AT's on the F350. With the new Beadlocks, I can mount the tires myself and before I have to re balance the tires and Rims next time I am going to get a set of the balancing plates from Centramatic. No need to use weights anymore. I have talked to a couple guys running military tires and mud bigger tires that use these with great results.

Alpha Tread in Tucson AZ. They were $250 per rim after they were re centered with the stronger pressed center section and 3.5" back spacing.
It also included a paint job, not powder coat but one day if rust becomes a issue, I will have them done. If you get them for a Bronco, the 12 bolt Radial beadlocks are a cheaper and fine for the Bronco's weight. My F350 weights 7100lbs before adding the almost 400 lbs of tires and rims, so I went with the 24 bolt, because I plan on towing with this truck.

Hummer BFG Baja tires and 24 bolt beadlock rims update.

I am at the 1 year mark, with 11,000 or so miles on the tire and rim combo.

They have been great, not one issue with them and have worked great in sand, hard packed like Baja and even in the rain on the street, unlike projects that feel like ice skates in the rain.

The balance done originally is still perfect, no beads rolling around inside needed.

I found some pictures of when I did the transmission cooler on the F350. This has been a great cooler. It is a Tru-cool Max. I also put the 2 inch receiver hitch up front at the same time. The hitch has been great to put my winch on when needed and easy to take off when not needed.

It is made by Draw Tite, I got it for a $150 new on ebay with free shipping.
