Delivered today from the land of old trucks. 1974 F250 Supercab Shortbed. She seems to be in pretty good shape for a 40 year old, 360 FE C6 PS PB Dealer installed AC. Short term plans are get it running and dry the interior out by pulling up the floor mat and air out cab. Need to find and destroy hornets nest! Future plans , service bed, Jackman spoke wheels (Steve?) bent beams......cup holders.

Nice score! Makes me miss my old supercab. Shoulda got that one running as if she was running I wouldn't have sold her. Oh well.

Can't wait to see you give it some love so I can live vicariously through you!

As for the wheels - I'd throw some of the 16" alcoas off the 92-97 Fords and 315/75r16 BFGs. I know I can help with those wheels.

Thanks, I'm going to try for some old Jackmans, mainly because I worked there as a kid.
I know they'll look good with BFGs of course. I need a straight 79 grill shell? Anything like that?

white spoke wheels similar to what's on there now.

As for the grille - I can't encourage changing from the best looking style (73-75). I can tell you I don't have a 78/79 setup though. I had a buddy who put them on everything & whenever I got one I'd trade him for a 73-75 setup so all my 78/79 stuff is long gone. Pick-a-part or a guy parting out will be your best bet unfortunately as the aftermarket replacements are thinner than beer cans & dent if you look at them funny.

Nice score Rob and good chasing too you! No perfect grills, but do have all the square headlight parts to swap from round if you want to go that way and strike out in SD area? Will keep eyes out for a grill too. Not worried about chasing with 2X only?

Good to hear from you Greg, no its not going to be a specialty extraction rig. More of a Hwy and off Hwy chase support rig. Thanks for the grill offer, looking for something straight and not aftermarket.

Looks like someone took the lazy way out to pull this motor! Killed the grill...

Well I was concerned that the floor area of the supercab section had rust, I just didn't know how bad or how much. I removed the bench seat and pulled up the original floor mat, the insulation was very wet and there was rust, just surface rust. It just needs to be cleaned up and painted. no daylight no cancer no patching needed. Thank God!

Ok if you look at the picture you can see the truck was ran into something in the front. Today, I also removed the front bumper and saw that the drivers side frame horn is bent, not bad but it has to be fixed and its going to need a new core support.
Pick a Part in Chula Vista just happens to have a supercab in the yard. I may just have a look.
