Yes it do, I only have the stock 3/4 ton springs, but we did put air bags on it. I need some more time with it fully loaded to see what she really needs.

Steve, you're right, more spring!
Found a F-350 Camper Special and I made off with the Dana 70 with 4:10s Power-Loc LS , Leaf Springs ,and Sway-Bar. all to help stabilize the back half when pulling Oldbaja on a trailer down the road.

A sharp eye can see I've cut off the brake flanges from the axle tubes.
I'm going to weld (Darin will weld)) on 1/2 Late model flanges to mount late model Super Duty rear disc brakes.

Some good lookin parts there Rob. For the rear disk stuff, did you have to swap snouts too? Or are you using a conversion hub or even the D70 hub and just re-drilling the rotors? And what year is late model for the donor? Like 2001-2003ish stuff or like 2010 or newer?

I'll try and explain, My truck is a 74, 38" frame width and the donor Dana 70 is from a 74, same frame so the leaf spring perches are perfect. Some E-350 super duty vans 2000ish came with Dana 70s and rear disc breaks, being a van their lug pattern is correct on the hubs, they just need 5/8 studs.
I found a site on-line, Fordmann.com a father and son team that do some great DYI Ford projects and they have done all the leg work for doing this conversion the right way. Including a blueprint for the flange (I'll post). Look it up, It's a great read, you'll love it. So, from the junk yard I needed Van Dana 70 Hubs 1999-2005 ish and the rear Super Duty disc brakes from the van or a truck. So in the end, there is no snouts to cut off or weld on.

All makes perfect sense. I often forget the vans had 60's and 70's in them up til pretty currently AND they never went metric. Actually had a buddy here with a van disk brake D70 off his 2008 or so van that he asked if I knew anyone who may want it a couple months back. Those things are like gold to the few than can use um and worthless to many.

I thought about doing the van d70 on my truck but ended up grabbing a Sterling 10.25 out of a 2001 F-350 and had the hubs machined to 8x6.5 lug pattern. Ended up costing more than I hoped, but things always seem to...

You're so right. So far, I'm not into this for much and there are always trade offs or concessions. For example this Dana 70 was very early in production so it has and odd 23 spline axle, therefor Spider gears are not available for the Power loc LS. I hope it doesn't need them. I should be able to get friction discs for it. Later versions of the D 70 came with 35 spline Axles. We'll go through and replace pinion bearings and add a new ring gear and pinion and carrier bearings. For what I'm using it for, spline count is not going to kill the deal.

Looks like several folks are putting Vintage Air into their trucks. I started this process awhile back and have been working on it slowly.
I started with a straight core support from the local yard and first mounted a new Champion radiator on it. then came the AC condenser with a big Super Duty Trans cooler in front of that. Ryan at the Fab made up a sweet bushing for lines going through the firewall and some lower mount bushings on his 3D printer.

That tubing swings out to be a crossbar at the rear of the rack, I've been up and down from the back of the bed lately so I have it swung forward.

Hey, Rob, Happy New Year!!

Good to see you are working on your truck, I wish I had time for mine right now (too busy with home renovations). I'm doing a D60 FF with chevy discs and Eldorado calipers for mine. Also building a flat bed for the F100, due to repurposing it for expedition work, rather than desert speed, with a half box for my gear and space for my quad on the back. One day, I'll pull my finger out and post up an update.
You take care.
Cheers,
Rod.
