What system did you put in? Are you going to lift it? LED bar?

Re: 98 Forest Green Expedition
Kenwood DDX271 double din DVR, MB Quart 6x8 coaxial, MB quart 400x1 mono amp and a MTX thunderform stealthbox with a single 10".
No lift, have adjusted the sensors on the airbags to get it to sit slightly higher. Maybe 1/2-3/4". Looking for 33" tires to get s little extra height. Will probably throw a 20" led bar in the front bumper though

Re: 98 Forest Green Expedition
I loved my expedition when I had it. The air suspension was converted to Coils and helper shocks. It was floaty but never had to deal with any issues from the crappy air ride system ford put on them. The plugs won't blow out if you torque them correctly, there's a tsb out there about the proper amount. They are basically F150's from the A pillar forward and the only real differences being the AWD t case( 97-98 had a 2wd option, not AWD and you can put a switch on the brown wire to have it be RWD instead of AWD) and coil sprung/air bad rear end. They are heavy tanks that get bad mpg, especially with the 5.4 and bigger tires. Mine was fairly optioned out. If I didn't move and get a new job I'd be driving it today.

Your rig helped me get to what I wanted....... hahaha. My air suspension is noisy, but rides great and so far doesnt leak so I am leaving it. Mine is a 98, so it has the 2wd option on the T-Case. Im digging it... first trip to Mexico coming shortly!

Agreed the '01-'03 bumper will step up the looks a bit. I'd leave the valance off too personally.

Re: 98 Forest Green Expedition
You'd have to swap the grill as well...99-02 grills dip down...97-98 are flat

Re: 98 Forest Green Expedition
By far the cheapest way to get legit travel, maintain rear seating and not break the bank as I said before.

Re: 98 Forest Green Expedition
Nope better yet edlebrock sells a 50 state legal super charger kit with a tuner preprogrammed with a carb approved setting list. I texted tony the other night telling him what I had planned if I were to ever build an expedition when I saw he bought one, and that collage of photos I made over a year ago. I did all the homework already for the most part and it's a very easy build. I told him just cause it's a family ride dosnt mean it has to ride like shit and it's a hell of a lot cooler than a skyjacker tortion bar lift kit.

I see the ultimate expedition (the activity, not the car) vehicle in your future... roof top tent, fridge, canopy. The works!
