project retro chevy

Post by towerace1 »

So I wen by my dads friends house to find a new truck in the drive way. This was one of the first trucks built for prerunning only. It has a sbc motor, hand layed custome made glass built in the 80's. It currently has 3 fox 2.0 shocks on each side (coming through the hood!) and in the rear it has 4 fox 2.0's per side with custome made leaf packs. The truck is the same as it was when built in the 80's. It was built by walker evans racing when the geiser bros first started to work there. Note the sweet jet boat paint job. I have ridden in this truck many times in my child hood and thought it was lost forever. He found it in the gargae of the og owner. Purchased for 6k! I will have better pics up later this week. I just thought some of you old schoolers would like it!

LOVE IT!

the old skool chevy's are some of my favorite trucks from back in the day! they are getting harder and harder to come by since most of them get cut up by hacks that want to make them long travel trucks and it just never seems to work. my brother has a blazer that he is going to restore that is the same era and i think it needs the jet boat paint job!

It reminds me of the unfinished Walker Evans prerunner that was on Craigslist for $1000... and sold for $500!

Cool truck. Old iron rules.

Wow - nice find! I have a lot of great memories of those trucks from back in the '80s. Let me guess - it was in a garage in the Parker area somewhere?

Thanks we dont plan on changing a thing.
Could we get a bunch more pictures?
I have a customer/friend that is talking about building a replica of a 70's/80's C8 Truck rather then a street rod.
Looking to steal the look and certainly a bunch of the performance.

Thanks!!!
