After driving mine with the Deavers it's a big difference compared to the OEM's. Much more compliant and plush. They are longer then the OEM's and the carli shackles will yield a lot more droop. If you made some shackles I'm sure they should work much the same. I'm not certain what spring rate deaver used in the pack, have not beaten on it yet but it's got good road manners and still is pretty stable in high speed sweepers.

How thick are the leafs Bob? How many in each pack? Did you lose load capacity?

They are a 3" spring pack with 14 leafs and almost 3.5" thick. I'm sure load capacity is a little less, deaver says about 20% give or take..... Still has plenty of capacity for me without too much squat. Ride improvement is worth it and I can always add bags if I'm going to tow something heavy.

I also have red LEDs for night ops. No loss of night vision with those.

Plans are to run a nice squishy spring pack with the air bags removed. Have not decided on brand / style yet.

Big update today! Ordered gauges, rail pressure, pyro, trans temp, and and boost. Also made a little gauge holder out of 16ga to put above the roll bar. Should cover me for the Smarty, exhaust, filter, and lift pump install.

Installed a garage door opener into the center console too.

Jamie called from Method and my wheels should be done being machined on Tuesday.

Gauge pod for pyro, boost, rail pressure, & trans temp. Still gotta weld the edges, weld a mount to it, grind it smooth, paint, and build some little plastic pieces to hide the side view.

The whole interior (other than dash) is, but I plan on adding a headliner and possibly carpet or rubber floor mat. Carpet would deaden sound better but be harder to clean. The cage is hard mounted to the frame and I'm thinking about bushing mounting it too...

Based on that post I'm assuming it's pretty noisy in the cab?

Not as bad as you'd think but it's no Mercedes. Tires are the source of 80% of the noise. It's actually very quiet for being a solid caged truck.

Got the rest of the gauges in today. The rail pressure gauge is a different manufacturer but close enough looking for me to be happy.

Put 1000 miles on this weekend and found a few things that need changing. The cover over the tanks is not bolted down and it came loose the only time I ran sand highway. The t-case also will not stay in 4 low due to hitting the console... gotta cut and weld the shifter. The IPF lights suck at night, and the truck averaged 15.4 mpg including the runs in the sand. After riding in a couple of other 3rd and 4th gen trucks it also needs a major rear spring upgrade.

This truck is pretty cool in person. The interior LED's are great when trying to locate a campsite on the beach at night!

Given proper guidance, of course.
