They won't clear on these trucks with the body up.

It will never work! Shocks need to be in a vertical position with the bodies up. :D

Looking good. Did you get new camper glass yet?

Yeah normally it's body up shaft down.... However these Dodge's are just different, Sage Carli and Don Thuren have the particulars dialed and in order to fit below the bed and in The stock shock orientation they need to be inverted. If the upper mounts were clearanced and plated they could be run as all the other rigs.... So my laziness kicked in and I'm following the crowd.

I dd really like having my spare down under......so I am working up a custom rear bumper with hitch located further back to allow spare under the bed and back far enough to clear the diff and shock resi. This whole setup may also work to move batteries to the back kinda like Tom W's f250 but farther back the set up my inverter and 12v receptacle plug near the back of the shell.

No back glass yet. I'm so over Snugtop... Engineer won't call me back and they want over $$600.00 for the glass. Someone is very lacking on customer service and maybe hitting the crack pipe. Professional plastics will cut me a .125 plexiglas in translucent black that will need holes and radius for $47.33.......Boooo Snug Top!!!!!

Didn't make the DTX event...

Did get my .250 plexiglas and cut it today. It looks like it should work ok and will be more robust than the tempered glass. Once it's sealed up on the factory flanges I will get some pics

Something to think about is the shock body is in a place to get damaged. They should function in that position but it would be worth the time to mount them up right. It would be a shame to trash the body of the shock or bypass tubes. Just a thought.

Old snugtop is gone and a commercial ARE is in its place.. Looks a little like a dog catcher rig now but I love the utility and storage it has given me now. I have some LED light strips to add inside the boxes and cubes for scene lighting on the rack. New fabbed rear bumper will be going on soon too.

It’s been awhile since I have shown what’s up with the Dodge. She’s been up and down Baja and most recently the Mojave Road and Nevada trails.ImageImage
