I feel that there is not a significant enough of a difference in strength between the 2 for it to be debatable.

No drop brackets......was just seeing what kind of travel numbers stock beams would pull w/o doing c&t, but after looking at the truck more and some measurements im probably going to do some 2.5" over beams and c&t. My front is about 2 inches narrower than the rear as it sits now and it would help fill some space up on those front fenders.

Farther offset wheel? Might be easier that cutting your beams up

How big of flare are your front fenders? Reason I ask is I'm a big fan of tire's matching the flare distance exactly or the tire outside the flares widest point a little bit. Down here by me there's a bunch of young kids with rangers that have stock width front ends with +8 or more per side wider fenders. The trucks look redicilious. If anti aerodynamics was the goal they would win by a long shot. My 2 cents is if you have 3.5 inch fenders get 4 inch extended beams and so on. Try to get the tires edge to the fenders widest point however you would like. But that's just my taste.

The fenders are FiberwerX and i believe they are 4.5 over and it looks a little funny with all that flare and the tire so far in, trying to find that "sweet spot" on how wide to go

I have the same fenders. My truck has 4 over beams and sits at 88.5" with stock wheels and 35x12.50's. I am really happy with the width to fender ratio on mine, plus they tuck nicely at full bump.

Translation= you need 4.5 extended beams with an 8 or 8.5 width rim at 4.5 backspace to get the same as Travis I think. Mine is also 4.5 extended with same rim offset and width as said above. My tires tuck with a 3.5 inch flare so it's not crazy wide like one would think.

Alright, pulled out and cleaned up some beams, theres a flat spot on the bottom of the ds beam, i marked a dotted line threw where the cut would be, its at 90 degrees to the flat spot....am i thinking correctly here? My plan is to make a jig to keep things inline just doing a little research now...

My opinion is a little farther to the right, you want equal meat to weld the extension to and equal meat to stick the outer wrap plates to. It's not wrong what your proposing its just the way I would do it.

Went and bended some more pipe up for the front bumper for the piece that goes over the top of the lights, took a little detour back home and i forgot how good those ttbs soaked up the bumps vs the straight axle. Even with the stock supension and 35s there was a huge difference, a lot faster and smoother for sure, but a 351 is definitely in the works, going to ha e some serious fun with this build, i hope i can keep it out of the trees....you guys out there might not have that kind of problem....

In my build thread are pics of the 3.5 over beams I have in my garage to put on. Might give you some ideas. they are good pics.
