Rmc's baja bug project.
So here's the pile I crap I got for 500$, strangely enough 2 days later a friend called n said he wanted to build a baja bug. So I sold it to him for 700$, not too bad for a clean title black plate 68. So now he's paying me to build it for him so win win. Ill post progress pics as I can just for fun.

Re: Rmc's baja bug project.
At this point I already had a build list, and my bronco was purchased at the same time, this was gonna be a way to fund my bronco build

Re: Rmc's baja bug project.
Started tying in the front cage and mounted the beam, stretched the wheelbase 15.5 inches and went 8 inches wider. 3x4 out back and 6 over beam with 3x4 arms.

Re: Rmc's baja bug project.
So basically you guys can see why my bronco project is stalled for a little while, as soon as this thing is a roller I can begin tear down on my own. In the pic I shaved the front fenders (rough cut) ill blend everything after I finish the front cage work.

Re: Rmc's baja bug project.
It should end up 17 inches or so travel up front and 22 in the rear. Class 5? Fuel cell away.

If I didn't hate VW's so much, I'd love to build a class 5-ish car. Digging the build!Rmc wrote:Class 5?

Re: Rmc's baja bug project.
Thx for the compliments guys, I know it's no bronco but its just a side job for some extra cashish. I wanna jump the lil bastard if this guy ever gets me the front shocks. I should be 70 to 80% done In a week or 2. Ill post up more pics as I put a dent in it.
