Maybe. I know they allow both 2 and 4wd 2 door or 4 door in the same class, I don't remember reading solid axel front only but it's been a while since I looked at the rules.

That thing would KILL in Jeepspeed (unless the 3700? class which even allows four link rears).

Looks smoother than any other XJ I've ever seen. It has to be faster/smoother than your old Jeepspeed, huh?

I was just going to look out of curiosity, there's 3 classes now lol. I must admit it's been at least 6 years since I've looked, maybe more.

Class 1700: 75.5 max width, ifs ok, 33" general tires mandated.
Class 3750: looks like not a chance, for ifs stock rack and pinion must be used.
Class 3700: possibly, not much mention to the same stockish particulars looks like tt type class for jeeps, dodge and mopar. It looks to have unlimited suspension and engine.

No plans to race. Just a4 seat, family friendly desert/Baja pre-runner.

1700 only allows ifs if it was the factory based suspension. If someone builds a liberty or newer Grand they're going to kill it.
Our would fit 3700 and we do have plans to link the rear but need to work it out so it doesn't interfere with the back seat.
It's definitely faster than our old 1700, but is WAY out tune right now, front and back...

Maybe a mezzy rear? The packaging would be perfect to maintain the rear seating. I've got some sample pics if you want me to post them up, or I can start a mezzy thread.

I have been knocking around doing this rear suspension on my Bronco to ditch the leaf springs and keep my Mastercraft bench seat in back.

That is on my friend Ramsay's Blazer. It's still in the shop. Like many of us, it is a multi year project. He even has an equal length Dana 50/44 up front.
