Awesome! Figure out how to put an LS motor in it!

Is it as clean as it looks in the pic?

Oh man. My wife would LOVE to have one of those. Very cool, Griffin. I think you and the family will have a blast in it. Enjoy!

Thanks! Been looking for a awhile and finally I found the one I wanted. It's got it's imperfections, but for 38 years of use it's not too bad. I post up more during my restoration.

Porsche motors fit really well actually and make the things so they can go faster than 2 mph ;)

Griffin, my younger brother recently bought a 60-something pEconoline (when they were still small) and plans to make of a Weary style camper. I think It's going to be a cool project.

I'm looking forward to seeing yours coming together. We're also going to need camping reports!

Had its Maiden voyage to San Onofre on Easter Sunday. Since then I've replaced the fuel filler neck, leaking fuel line, spark plug wires and removed the wheels and bumpers to get powder coated. It's got some rust in a few locations, so hopefully I can get those addressed soon.

No problem T.
Same as before (white), but the previous paint job was below par and has some paint flaking, so I'm powder coating instead.

Very cool! The beauty of stuff like this is it's so easy to work on, it's actually therapeutic. So are you guys going to camp in it? Just a cruiser?

There's a guy right by my shop in CM that is supposedly cheap & good Grif. I haven't tried him yet but my neighbor at the shop likes him. I can get the contact info if you haven't found a place to use yet.

Steve,
My first intent was a 65 Double Cab for cruising, but the versatility of the camper (westy) seemed to be a better fits for the small ones.

Steve,
I don't have a place yet. I've called Olympic PC (santa ana) and Coast PC (san Clemente). The costs I've run into is $45-$50/wheel and $75-$80/bumper.
