Main rear hoop taking shape, tubes are only tacked at this point and interior skins are just to get and idea of the fit.

with a 2" tube - not sure, but I don't think so. 1.75" tube is a maybe as well from what I remember seeing when cutting the ones up I've had.

I got close with a 1.75" tube at the b-pillar of the ranger, but it was doable at the back of cab (it was an ex-cab).

From the looks of it, there is quite a bit of difference between the bumps and dents. The crown of the roof, and the space above the doors is what allowed room for 2" on my truck. On my 73 the tube sits above the door jamb. I don't think the roof is as tall on the earlier trucks, though.

That said, who gives a crap about 1/4" of tube? This thing is looking bitchin'.

I'm totally stealing the hood snubber thing, too.

Ok , most of you know that Ryan (Autofab) and I where on our way to the Mohave Run when disaster struck. Well 3.5K later my Dodge now has a tranny that should give me 5 more years. Here all some pics of what we have been working on the last 4 months.

Darin, fabed up a nice box to mount a GPS. It's out from the dash so the Co-dog can reach it with harneses on and it's angled a bit to me so in a pinch I can have a look at it.

I did a 2" tube on the lightning behind the b pillar without cutting the sheet metal it was a major PITA, sure it's doable on a fullsize bronco but I dont think it's worth it..
